Services & Fees

Fees

The Australian Psychological Society (APS) National Schedule of Suggested Fees 2025-2026 has the standard 46 to 60-minute consultation fee at $318.

To facilitate wider access, we have set a standard 50 minute session fee, lower than the recommended fee. Please enquire to discuss further.

Fees are processed at the time of your appointment using automatic payments.

Appointments

Appointments are scheduled upon request through submitting an enquiry.

We know it can be hard for first responders to find supports out of business hours, so facilitate appointments outside of business hours upon request. Please submit an enquiry for more information.

To provide support to clients around Australia, Hart Psychology offers purely telehealth service delivery.

Cancellation Policy

You may participate, decline to participate or withdraw from this service at any time. We ask that our clients give us at least 2 business days (business days are Monday to Friday) notice if they need to rebook or cancel their appointment. This allows us time to fill the appointment with another client who may be on the waitlist.

See below fees which will be incurred if less than 2 business days notice is provided. Cancellation fees are not eligible for Medicare, WorkCover, Private Health Fund claims/rebates or any other insurance provider.

  • Cancelled more than 2 business days notice - no fee.

  • Cancelled less than 2 business days notice - ($100).

  • Under 1 business day or fail to attend (full fee).

Any cancellation fees will automatically be charged to the nominated debit/credit card on file.

We know emergencies happen, please contact us to discuss or leave a message and we will be able to make the relevant changes. Please be aware this may still incur a cancellation fee. Outstanding fees must be paid fully no less than 48 hours before the next appointment or the upcoming appointment may be cancelled.

If you need to cancel an appointment, please contact us.

Australian Government Rebate

Through the Medicare Better Access program, eligible patients can claim a Medicare benefit for up to 10 individual mental health treatment services per calendar year.  The current rebate is $101.55 per session. To access the rebate, you need a current Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP or Psychiatrist.

You can use this plan with any psychologist registered with Medicare, even if it is a different psychologist to the one on the referral by the GP or Psychiatrist.
